What’s Not In It:

At Gentle Ben, we’ve perfected a way to optimize the levels of each of the following compounds that are found in all distilled spirits, by either removing or minimizing them, leading to the cleanest, smoothest-tasting spirits, period.

1. VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds): No, it’s not the name of a rock band! Think of VOCs as a medley of A Variety of Offensive Crap. While they’re natural by-products of fermentation and distillation, they can also cause that pesky coughing fit post-sip. With Gentle Ben, these acetic acid and acetaldehyde bullies don’t stand a chance!

2. Undesirable Acids: There’s a rogues’ gallery of naughty acids out there conspiring to sabotage the taste of your favorite drink. But at Gentle Ben, we’ve shown them the door.

3. Heavy Alcohols: More than one type of alcohol in your spirit? Surprising, right? While some are the essence of your drink, others can be downright off-putting. Say goodbye to the ones that remind you of that stingy antiseptic from childhood!

4. Fusel Oils: Directly translated from German as “bad liquor,” fusel oils are your spirit’s unwanted gate crashers. They are behind the fiery burn that often masks the true flavor. At Gentle Ben, we believe every sip should be a celebration, not a confrontation.

5. Harsh Solvents: Imagine having around 15 pesky intruders trying to ruin your spirit’s flavor profile. We won’t bore you with the technical names because just seeing the word “solvent” is probably enough. We’ve given these oily, acrid-tasting nuisances the boot.

Unforgettable Harmony: Gentle Ben Partners with Scotty Alexander to Raise Spirits and Fill Hearts.

We are excited to announce our partnership with country music artist Scotty Alexander. In his own industry, Scotty truly personifies the spirit of Gentle Ben and displays extraordinary precision in his craft. We think the power of music, along with a sip of Gentle Ben bourbon is the perfect recipe to bring folks together and create unforgettable moments.

Scotty is a veteran singer, songwriter, and recording artist, hailing from Wimberly, Texas. He has an incredible track record in the music industry, having performed over 10,000 live shows, both as a solo or supporting act for artists including Wayne Newton, Neal McCoy, Easton Corbin, Wade Bowen, Cory Morrow, Roger Creager, Shenandoah, Brian White, Cody Johnson, Cody Jinks, Sundance Head, Kevin Fowler and more.

In recent years, Scotty has been captivating audiences across the Texas panhandle, and the west coast, with his soulful performances and authentic country sound. “We have put out a few things over the years, but I have never been so proud of the music we are writing and recording now,” Scotty shares. His first solo album, “Guilty,” released in 2019, and his second album, “Road We’re On,” released in 2021, have garnered significant praise. “Road We’re On” features the chart-topping Texas Radio hit, “Cowboy’s Daughter,” along with other notable tracks.

Scotty has made a memorable mark on us, including earlier this year when he treated lucky patrons to an intimate acoustic set at the Gentle Ben tasting room. Scotty captivated the audience, and the night was filled with laughter, storytelling, and the shared love of great music and exceptional spirits. In March of this year during the 2022-23 NBA season, we expanded our Gentle Ben footprint deeper into the city of Houston with the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of Ben’s Bar, a brand-new addition to Toyota Center’s beverage offerings. Located in Section 126, Ben’s Bar is the place-to-be for the upcoming 2023-24 NBA season and during Toyota Center events throughout the year. The Grand Opening celebration was made even more special with the presence of our Gentle Ben brand ambassador, friend, and legendary 7x NBA Champion, Robert Horry.

As a former NBA player, Horry made an indelible mark on the basketball world, earning a well-deserved reputation as a clutch performer. Throughout his career, he displayed an uncanny ability to rise to the occasion during crucial moments, earning him the nickname “Big Shot Bob.” Horry’s winning spirit and his dedication to perfecting his craft on the court make him the perfect ambassador for Gentle Ben.
